#28 Walnut telecaster

#28, walnut telecaster with wengé fretboard. Angled bridge humbucker and black hardware. Front view.

Netherlands, May 2008.

Very sturdy walnut guitar, inspired by the Gibson The Paul, but made as a telecaster. The Rio Grande bridge humbucker was a smart try to make sure the split coil sound of the pickup would be closer to a true single coil tele bridge pickup.

In a certain way walnut seems to work well with humbucker pickups. It gives clear mids and is direct. This I recognize from the The Paul, but also from my own Custom guitars.
