From time to time I make a Slide King with a laminated top. By request, or because it just fits the construction. This lap steel with a one piece body showed up a branch within the body, during thickness sanding the wood. Unfortunately, around the branch, small hair cracks were visible in the wood. No issue for the construction, but not a nice visual appearance. The choice was to cover the top with a not so common, nice piece of curled zebra wood.
