This special SG is constructed around a neck that is running through the body of the guitar, like the Custom series electric guitars. The body is more thick compared to a traditional SG guitar, and partly hollowed out to compensate the extra weight. Because the guitar is used with lower tunings, standard 25,5" string length is used in stead of the for this model more common 24,75". Also a lightweight bridge with lots of intonation possibilities is used. The bigger size head and the accolade shape at the end of the fretboard are suggestions to a Super 400. Around the body, fretboard and head, layered bindings made from wood are used.
