This capo is machined from steel, unlike other capos on the market that are made from brass. The tone I get from steel is much crisper and cleaner than brass and steel wears longer than brass. The mass of this design provides excellent sustain and the contoured shape keeps the capo from interfering with your playing. The large precision tension knob ensures that the capo is not too loose or tight, in fact it is easily used with one hand and will fit both 8-string and 6-string guitars.
