The Deco Slide lap steel is a semi-acoustic lap steel guitar with a partly hollow neck, a bit like a Weissenborn.
By this building, the sound improves in the reflection of mid and mid-high tones.
The body is made from solid African padouk. This wood is also being used to make xylophone instruments. The wood is very stable and gives the Deco Slide lap steel a long sustain, with a bit of natural compression. The top is made from European soft maple.
The lap steel is fitted with a Jason Lollar Chicago pickup. This pickup has a bit more output than a regular P90, but sounds still wam and very dynamic. The pickup is finished with a nice wooden cover in the workshop.
The Deco Slide lap steel can be ordered in a 6- 7- 8- 10 or 13-string version.
The instrument comes with a small gigback.
