Classic tigerstripe ash top with LP inlay
A Classic that is a bit different! The guitar is made specialy to use as a bottleneck slide guitar. The neck has more relief than a regular guitar. Because of the double action truss rod, the guitar can also be setup for regulair playing. Fitted with EMG pickups, chrome scratchplates, and a not so common LP inlay in the fretboard and a lefthanded neck, this righthanded instrument is more than just a copy. The top is a beautiful piece of tigerstriped ash, and the fretboard is made out of cocobola for a better articulation and clearity.

Classic thinline African padouk
This very special thinline guitar is made of African padouk. The body is sawn in pieces, chambered and reglued in a way it looks like a one piece of wood again. The guitar has plenty amount of sustain, and still has that nice sparkling character. The neck pickup is a Jason Lollar Charlie Christian pickup. It gives a P90-ish sound, but with more high respons and very much dynamics. More to be comparted with old vintage DeArmond pickups.

Standard EMG with LED lights
This Fern's Standard EMG guitar has a neck with build in LED lights. The bottom tone control is replaced by a rotary switch to turn the the lights on or off.

Jerry Garcia Jamband Tribute
This very special guitar has a neck-through-body construction and sound chambers in the body. Inspired by the Alembic Jerry Garcia models, this guitar also shows some personal preferences of the owner. The neck is at the topnut as wide as at the body, more like a classical neck. The Guitar is fitted with all sorts of electronics, like filters and a build in overdrive. Strings can be attached at the brass tailpiece, or through the body.

Standard Ash with P90 in neck position
Not so often customers want to have a Fern's Standard Ash guitar with very different pickups. Sometimes a humbucker in the bridge position, but a combination of single coil - single coil - P90 is a very personal choice. The owner of this guitar wanted to have an allround guitar with a fat big sounding neck pickup for a big fat blues sound.

Classic Ash with a one piece tigerstripe ash body
Sometimes we have pieces of wood in the workshop that are big enough, and of good quality to become a one piece body. This piece of German ash had a very nice tigerstripe effect as well. The scratch plate is made of old oakwood, found in water. The oakwood gets a black color bcause of the reaction in time with the water.
