#86 12-string lap steel

#86, 12-string lap steel guitar, made from lacewood and padouk, with an angled pickup. Front view.

USA, December 2014.

An unusual request to make a 12-string lap steel guitar, like a 12-string regular guitar, with octave string pairs. A solid African padouk body with a lacewood top. The angled pickup makes the sound of the bass strings more round. String pairs are close enough to be picked together by fingerpics. A customized topnut that make all strings flat against the steel bar.
