#17 Flair

#17, Custom made electric guitar with neck-through-body construction and nicknamed Flair, front view.

Netherlands, August 2008

This very special guitar has a neck-through-body construction and sound chambers in the body. Inspired by the Alembic Jerry Garcia models, this guitar also shows some personal preferences of the owner. The neck at the topnut is almost as wide as it is at the bridge, roughly like a classical guitar neck. The guitar is fitted with all sorts of electronics, like filters and a build in overdrive. Strings can be attached at the brass tailpiece, or through the body.
